In this class, students will learn and get reacquainted with the anatomy of the sacrum, the muscles which directly attach to the sacrum, and how imbalances in this bone can cause pain elsewhere in the body.
This is a hands on class and those attending will be expected to bring their table, wear loose fitting shorts, and be nude on the table with proper draping for techniques to properly work on the muscles being discussed.
This class teaches John's GSL (Gluteal, Sacral, Lumbar) technique that he has used for years while working on athletes, though it can be used for others experiencing pain as well. Muscles being worked on will include: Gluteus maximus, Gluteus medius, Gluteus minimus, deep 6 lateral rotators - Piriformis, Latissimus dorsi, Erector spinae, Interspinalis. It will also include other deep 6 lateral rotators, Quadratus lumborum, Tensor fascia latae, and looks into working other muscles and groups from there.
Attendees will be expected to bring their massage table, loose fitting shorts, fitted sheet, flat sheet, massage oil, pen/pencil,
